The Mental Health First Aid Training Program is an 8-hour certification course designed to give participants the tools to respond to psychiatric emergencies until professional help arrives and to improve people’s mental health literacy.

OUR WHY: As a chapter, we hope to raise awareness about mental illness and give our members the tools to effectively support and respond to those in our community who are experiencing a mental health emergency. Also, in the wake of various police-involved shootings impacting those who are diagnosed with mental illness, this is an opportune time for all of us to educate ourselves and serve as a resource for those in our community who are directly impacted.
